    It'S Not Easy

I'm a 17 year old girl in high school. I can't hide my tendencies. So at school, like anywhere else, they happen. It's not easy being different. It's not easy always having to answer questions concerning my strange actions- nit easy having to explaining myself. But I can't help...

It started mildly when I was eight.

I kept counting the amount of syllables in songs, and I just HAD to end on an even amount of syllables, or it would drive me insane and I'd have terrible urges to try it again until I did. I didn't say anything and taught myself to stop a few months into it. Then, at the...

    A Strange Morning

Today I woke up, and it was quiet. My head was empty. Anyone with OCD would be thrilled to have their heads clear, for even a second. But it scared me. I began to worry that I was faking and that I was faking and that I was just trying to get attention this whole time. I sat up...

    OCD Ocd Ocd Ocd Ocd...

...I had to write that 5 times to make it right. There's three letters in 'OCD', so 5 x 3 = 15. 15 = a good number. But 5 + 3 is 8... not a good number. Crap. That's going to bug the hell outta me. That, my friends, is just a typical thought in my brain from day to day. Every...

i've said it before, and i'll say it again: ocd was nearly the death of me. there was a time period in my early teenage years when i seriously thought the only way out of the hell that my mind had become was suicide. thank goodness i got treated. i don't speak of it often, both...
