I Have Played Dungeons and Dragons

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 112 People

    I've played Pools of Radiance

and various Ultima titles on the Commodore 64, Dark Age of Camelot and World of Warcraft on the PC, but none of the computer games ever came close to the brilliant fun that was pen & paper D&D (or AD&D). I started playing D&D from the blue book with a couple of friends in 1979...

    I Like D&d

Yes I do, and I am female as well. I don't think it's a big deal, but some people do. I mean one of the Dragonlance books authors is female! 3.5 is my favorite edition. :) I like D&D because it challenges your imagination, and creative problem solving skills...

All I Need Is A 16 To Hit...

Yeah, I played D&D.. or as we called it AD&D.   To my brother, it made a difference.  There was many a weekend spent with little sleep and lots of Jolt cola (remember that brand, "all the sugar and twice the caffeine") or Moutain Dew with...

Great Way To Tell A Good Story

I love D&D, or to be specific, AD&D 2nd edition. It's a great way to tell a story, and to mold one as well, whether your a player or a DM. Assuming you have the right players, and the right dm.

    Games Can Be Fun

We had a group that played every week through college. Good times. I have played a couple of similar games since then, but computer games have mostly taken the place of the paper and dice games for me. There is the occasional night of board gaming with our friends who are into...

    Private Edition

My friend from high school introduced me to D&D and although I loved the genre I quickly found the fact that the DM was in complete charge a little annoying, so that summer I set out to creat my own version that I could play by myself.  This meant that the DM was actually a...

    Highschool Memories

In high school, I was always sit in the back row, with the biggest nerds, and one day they took the game with them, on xeroxed papers. They showed me how to play, and there was no stop:) we played in school, after school, and then on the weekends too:) I really miss them, miss...

    Just A Game

Just a game like any other in my eyes. I wasn't a person to take it seriously like you see in the movies and stuff.

    Loved D&d As A Kid

D&D was the game of choice for me and my friends back in the day, though we'd play about any RPG we could find. Last time I played with them, they were still making Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition rule books! I played a game based on the new 3.0 rules back around 2003 or...

    I've Played A Game Before...

...but I want to play it more, but am too shy (and not knowing of how) to find people in my area.  Any tips on that?
