Polymyalgia Rheumatica (PMR) - is an inflammatory disorder associated with muscle pain and stiffness, primarily in the neck, shoulders, upper arms, thighs, and hips. It can develop slowly but typically has a sudden onset. It is considered a seronegative rheumatic disease but the etiology has not been established. It responds well to steroids.
