my husband is suffering from PTSD from early childhood trauma - I find it difficult to watch him suffer and I wish you all the best in your recovery.
Something helpful that I found for him today was on iTunes by Liborio Conti. He went through one whole CD for restorative relief and said that it was hard to do but well worth it. It seemed to be helpful.

Good Morning JCOM,
Well, morning for me that is lol, husband is still sleeping but after using that CD he actually had a night that he seemed to enjoy, we were able to watch a movie together and he seemed more hmmm...I guess at peace which for him is not easy to come by.
He said this is something that uses a lot of imagination therapy and something that he could do over and over because he is able to work on different "parts"?...I was thinking that I would try it out when I have some quiet time....our boy has to sleep sometime lol.
Although I did not go through what he has been living with...I seem to be a bit messed up from it as well.....I guess its just the heartbreaking knowledge that someone I love was hurt and is still hurting and there seems to be nothing that I can do to help....dunno, just know that everyday I pray that he will be a bit better.
I hope you are well today-or tonight whichever it is .
