The urge, the sweet pulse and the complete urge to fly! 109 People

    Gypsy Blood

I too feel the need to roam.  I feel a strong pull with the earth to wander and see new things.  My dad had gypsy blood too.  As a child we moved around a lot.  Just about every 2 to 3 years we would move.  Sometimes moving right back to where we had...

How Do You Catch A Cloud And Pin It Down??

My family have always jested about how the "gypsy" blood has got the better of me. "Why ME?!" I would exclaim. Noone else in my family seems to have been as unsettled in their lives as I have. My dad right enough, has moved around several times... Yet not quite as much as myself...

    Not Entirely Sure

As the title suggests, I'm not entirely sure about this. But there's a lot of people on mum's side of the family who like to move around a lot, and don't like to remain settled in the same spot ... and I have that bug. Kind of odd, considering they're all from farming stock...

Is there any remnants of gypsyness left in your

family? If so what is it? Both my grandpa and mother are artists and they stick together as a family. I'm feeling it less, I like to pick the ones I socialize with but I know family always comes first. They also keep chosing to live on the open land instead of large cities.

    Gypsy Blood, And No Transfusion

My grandfather was carried off the boat from Hungary. That doesn't sound like a whole lot, but he and I (strangely, though, not my mother) shared a love of the outdoors and a thirst for travel. Today he's gone, and I like to imagine he's satisfied, having gone literally...
