Now That It'S Getting Cold Out...

Welcome back Raynauds. Nothing makes it eAsier to survive a cold winter without my fingers and toes feeling and looking like they are going to fall off! (Sarcasm check; positive) Reynauds, I believe (too long since diagnosis and too lazy to google to confirm) is a circulatory...

    Apparently

So apparently I have this thing where the blood vessels in your limbs constrict when they hit the cold. So that is why my toes and fingers turn blue when I sit too long at the computer in the winter. And why my lips turn blue when I swim. And it is also why it took me under 30...

    I Live With Raynaud's

I was diagnosed with Raynaud's about 4 years ago during the winter.  My feet were swolen, discolered and very painful.  After finding out what it was and how to deal with it, it has gotten much better over the past few years.  I wear double or tripple layer of...

    Eating Triggers It

My doctor when I was 35 said I was crazy when I told him eating a cheeze-it made my fingers turn white. He said that's not logical and I told him I was diagnoised at 19 and I live with it every day. It's not crazy to think my body would take care of digestive activities over...

It's Good to Know I'm Not Alone

My friends and I have always joked about my "freakish" hands. When we're in a public place and they act up they'll stop and examine them and make me do things to try to get them back to normal and it often draws the attention of people we don't even know. Everyone seems to have...

How I Was Healed Of Raynaud's

Hello all,   I wanted to share the story of how I was healed of Raynaud's.   About a year after having chemotherapy in 2005 I developed Raynaud's - above all in my hands, and occasionally in my feet. This was very, very unpleasant and irritating for me, even...

It's winter again, a favorite time

for people with raynaud's syndrome. [sarcasm]. I'm 13 and fairly confident I have raynaud's. You know if you put a lot of pressure on the tip of a finger and let go it turns a bit yellow for just a second, then the blood rushes back and turns it flesh colored or red? Well, for...

When I was in 8th grade I was standing out in the cold waiting for my mom. When she picked me up I complained that I couldn't feel my middle toe. She said it was from the cold. When we got home I began to panic because it really felt like it was gone. So I removed my shoe...

and at night if it starts to happen I can't sleep because it hurts. Yesterday it got so bad I had 3 pairs of socks on and 2 pairs of gloves and it still took about two hours for it to go away. I hate the winter I wish summer would come faster so it wouldn't be so severe.
