I Have Raynaud's Syndrome

which is a fancy way of saying my hands and feet turn purple, red, and/or white when cold 77 People

Now That It'S Getting Cold Out...

Welcome back Raynauds. Nothing makes it eAsier to survive a cold winter without my fingers and toes feeling and looking like they are going to fall off! (Sarcasm check; positive) Reynauds, I believe (too long since diagnosis and too lazy to google to confirm) is a circulatory...

How I Was Healed Of Raynaud's

Hello all,   I wanted to share the story of how I was healed of Raynaud's.   About a year after having chemotherapy in 2005 I developed Raynaud's - above all in my hands, and occasionally in my feet. This was very, very unpleasant and irritating for me, even...

I hate it!!! Sometimes it becomes painful

and at night if it starts to happen I can't sleep because it hurts. Yesterday it got so bad I had 3 pairs of socks on and 2 pairs of gloves and it still took about two hours for it to go away. I hate the winter I wish summer would come faster so it wouldn't be so severe.

I have had raynauds since at least 4 years old,

but I didn't know what it was until about 13yrs old. This disease has been so frustrating because I feel like nobody understands it except the people that suffer from it. If I try to explain it to someone I'm like "my hands get cold and hurt really bad and turn yellow" but...

    Apparently

So apparently I have this thing where the blood vessels in your limbs constrict when they hit the cold. So that is why my toes and fingers turn blue when I sit too long at the computer in the winter. And why my lips turn blue when I swim. And it is also why it took me under 30...

My friends and I have always joked about my "freakish" hands. When we're in a public place and they act up they'll stop and examine them and make me do things to try to get them back to normal and it often draws the attention of people we don't even know. Everyone seems to have...
