    Buses

I have only ridden on 2 types. School buses, practically my entire elementary, middle, and high school life. Also, a charter bus for sober grad.

    Not You, Honestly

Dear fellow bus riders,It's not you, it's me. Honestly.  When you offer me the seat next to you and I say 'no thanks', it's me, not you.I don't care about your race or gender or size or how much money you may or may not make.  You could be my personal hero and I'd still think...

    I've been riding on buses

for years without paying a ticket and recently I got caught and got a 100-dollar fine. Was pissed but still had to admit that I did a good job. In my country the price of a yearly bus subscription is around 550 dollars. Am proud of myself.

    Many Times...

in the city where I used to live...it was easier than fighting traffic and hunting for a parking place. I've also taken a Greyhound a couple of times...once home for Christmas, a 24 hour trip and 700 miles...the other, taking my son 1000 miles to see his dad, 27 hours...It was...

    Ride It All the Time...

Pretty much every day during the winter time and sometimes during the summer as I bike around. I live right in the heart of downtown and just a few minutes away from the transit station, so it's very convienent, not to mention affordable and better for the environment. ;)  ...

    Almost Every Day

I like bus-travel; it's cheaper than owning a car, and gives me plenty of time to think and focus for the day.

    Four

When I was growing up I rode on the school bus and a public transportation bus.  I have also rode on Greyhound several times.  When I was in the military we rode on a bus they called a cattle car.  It is called that for a reason.  They pack so many soldiers in...

    Cheaper Than a Taxi

When I was little my grandmother couldn’t drive so we’d take the bus downtown to visit my aunt for lunch and go to church. As a teen I generally road my bike everywhere but when it came to the mall I learned the bus was the answer. I loved the bus as I could go all...

I Have Ridden On A Streetcar, And I Don't Mean A Pcc Streamlined One

In my youth I would frequently ride the big red cars of what is not the Chicago Transit Authority. I think that is much more interesting than ridding a bus.

    Bus What?

Ok - this is like saying I have 2 feet - I think it would be more interesting to see the person that has never ridden on the bus (beside the Paris Hiltons of this world - i am getting sick of them).

    In Fact...

I'm currently writing from the place I took the bus to get to :P The ride was pretty good. Easy to fall asleep if you don't have anything to do, though, especially in the dark of night. I kept awake by listening to music and mouthing the lyrics to myself. (Who cares if anyone's...

    To Visit A Friend

The first time I rode on a bus was to visit a friend I was 46 years old and it was the hardest thing I ever did. I was leaving my comfort zone and going to New York, but when I got back home after the weekend. I thought to myself - I did it and riding the bus didn't kill me and...

    Yep

I don't have my licence, so i catch public transport practically every where i go. I'm used to it. It doesn't really bother me. I know that when i start driving i'll be thankful though. I prefer to catch the train because it's quicker and more reliable, but the bus...

Well lets start out with school, from pre- k to grade 8-  I was on the bus for almost and hour each way to school. Then when I started highschool I would be on the bus for usually an hour and a half if not more, one way. The bus rides to highschool were sooo long and boring...

    All the Time

I ride the bus home from work everyday, it's takes about an hour and a half. I have grown to almost enjoy it, not a lot of people try to socialize with me and I can sit back and listen to my MP3, it's rather relaxing really. I have ridden Greyhound once, and I will never do...

I Like Riding On the Bus

My main worry is that I'll miss my stop and end up in the wrong part of town. I don't take the bus often because I don't understand timetables. Also I don't much like waiting at bus stops.

    Crime In Progress

Going home on the bus I watched the people getting on. As one wiry and ragged man made his way to the back of the bus, he managed to step on another man’s foot. He seemed to be angry at something and when the man who’s foot he stepped on reacted, he just mumbled something...

    Many Miles

I know most men my age in the United States of America probably have driven more miles than they have ridden on a bus. Not me. In fact, it is quite possible I have ridden a bus as many miles as they've driven and driven as many miles as they've ridden a bus!

even though it wasn't very comfortable, and slowly but surely the noise and the engine and the chatter of other passengers got quieter and quieter until I eventually woke up and the bus was completely empty. I didn't even know where I was. It must have been the last stop. Sh*t...

A Ticket To Frugal And Fun

I'm from a rural area so riding the bus wasn't an option until I went to college and decided to use this super cheap form of transportation. Students were given passes and had free reign over the city. Oh, how I took advantage! Truly it was one the best times of my life. The...
