I Ran the London Marathon In 2007

I ran the London Marathon in 2007, in 4:23hrs. I'm running it again this year along with the Dublin and Barbados marathons - I am to run in under 3:45hrs.

Training for a half marathon changed me.

The discipline it takes to go out there and run day in and day out will change anyone. It is not about how fast I finished the marathon... It is the fact I finished it. It is more about me v. Me, your body is saying stop while your mind is screaming at you to just take one step...

    Marathons... I'm Hooked (darn It!)

The condensed version of my running story: I started running when I was 40 as a way to lose weight and get in shape, and with the foreknowledge that I had no interest in running a marathon!  Discovered some of my friends were into running 5Ks and 10Ks so I...

... But Prefer Not Going All The Way!

I successfully ran two marathons, "successful" in that I actually made it to the start and stumbled 26.2 to the finish. In truth I never had the itch to run one. A few years ago a couple of my friends / racing partners planned on running their "last" marathons as they turned...

No, This Little Lady Is Not Bi...

No, this little lady is not big on running long distances.  I would rather stroll.  Or at least  bike.

I ran my first marathon last year in 4:18 and plan to run the Marine Corps this year. I want to get under 4 hours, but this may be just a crazy dream. Maybe not this year, but certainly one of these days I'd like to qualify for Boston. I've always been a very slow runner though...

    I ran my first Marathon,

a couple of weeks ago in Paris. What a fantastic first marathon experience ... Would recommend it to anyone. Friendly and enthusiastic support, a different street band every 1km and the most beautiful city. Around 50,000 runners start from the Arc De Triumph. Wasn't prepared...

    After Run Blues..

I ran a marathon in September and now almost 2 months later I haven't been able to motivate myself to setup another goal or to get moving at all. I just want to lay around.

    Finished Number 7!

Just finished my seventh marathon in 5 years. Yeah!  I ran the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington DC and it's a race I highly recommend.  It was incredible!  Great crowd support, wonderful course - run right b all the monuments and museums...

    Love to Run

I'm not really good at it, but like my friends say, I "have grit".  I'm not built for running and am not very fast, but I have successfully completed 4 marathons and numerous half marathons.  I prefer the half marathons as they don't take me more than a few...
