The Colors Of Music And Taste Of Language.

Hi everyone. This is my first post on EP so sorry if it comes out a little akward. I have had synesthesia all my life (i have 2 types) and I will say that it affects my life profoundly. I have been "seeing" sounds for as long as I can remember and tasting words since about 1st...

differently than other people about a year ago. I want to tell my friends and parents that I have this, (maybe they'll understand me better, you know?) but I never got the guts or figured out how to tell them. So I guess I'll start here. :) Each of my letters and numbers have...

I've always smelled, visually and colorfully seen, and physically felt sound. Also, I see touch and pain the same way I see sound. It gets overwhelming at concerts or even if I'm listening to music with through a good AMP. My last boyfriend's voice goes from a smell of vanilla...

    The Vibrations Of The World

Years back, I was troubled because I would "hear" vibrations, or rhythm like beats, I could "hear" these when in class, when walking, anytime it was somewhat quiet. It really was irritating and I worked hard to block those "sounds". I would literally try to tap my foot to a...

    My Super Power!

I have had a form of synesthesia since I can remember, but did not know what it was. My earliest memory was telling a teacher in grade school that a friend of mine tasted like purple. She was wearing a bright, jewel toned, grape colored shirt. I was laughed at by the teacher and...

I've kind of always wished I could have visual
