    Second Time Around

I took accutane for the first time about 7 years ago. I did go through a depression stage and extremely dry lips. My dr. went down on the dosage. The depression go a little better, but not the dry lip thing. I had to take bactrin for a month because I seem to be getting more...

Worked Only As Long As I Took It

My experience with Accutane was both good and bad. It was good because while I took it, it cleared up almost all my acne within a month or so. Additionally, I didn't have any bad side effects with the exception of the very dry lips I had (I was too lazy to put on chapstick...

Taking Accutane, The Biggest Mistake Of My Life

I took accutane for 3 months at 18, and 21 years later am still suffering the side effects. It affected me mentally and physically, whilst some of the mental side effects have lessened, I keep getting more physical problems. It took away my youth, and it has really affected all...

    Desperate Help Needed

I took Accutane in 2008-09 and have developed severe stomach/digestive issues.  I have had many tests done and they can't seem to diagnose me.  I can hardly eat anything without pain afterwards.  I'm looking for someone with the same situation so they can advise me of any help...

This was originally for an Accutane survivor

thread/forum. I took Accutane as a senior in High School. I had acne, it was bad, not terrible, but bad. I disliked having acne, but it wasn’t a huge deal to me. My parents seemed to think it was a big deal to me because the offered me the option of trying something called...

    My Accutane Story :)

Ever since I was about 11 years old, I've had pimples. In 8th grade, it turned into legitimate acne. My forehead was the worst-- it was bad. Red, irrated, painful-looking skin. It was just horrible. I finally went to a dermatologist after I got the referral at my 13-year-old...

    Just No

I started taking accutane when I was in middle school. I had the worst acne ever and I was determined to stop it. In high school I took it again because it flared up again. Yes it does work for a little bit but know what? It's not worth it. AT ALL. Before you take it, do your...

    Accutane....

About 2 weeks into my Accutane treatment and I'm already seeing results. Never realized how much paperwork and blood tests went into this...however I'm glad I made the decision to proceed with the treatment. I've been told that after about a month...

    Good Or Bad?

I've been taking accutane for about 26 days now. At first, like in the first 2-3 weeks, my acne had gotten better. Right now though, its getting way worse. I have had acne since I was in fifth grade, only small bumps back then. It has increasingly gotten worse over the years, and...

    My experience with Accutane was,

to say the least, life changing. I have struggled with horrendous acne since I was about 12 years old. Acne started showing up in about the 6th grade and it didn't get too bad until I was in 7th grade. By this time, I didn't even realize how bad it was and now looking back at...

    Worked Wonders!

I never really had any major acne problems, but from 7th grade to about 10th grade, I had what my dermatologist called "stubborn acne." By the time I was in 9th grade, I had literally tried 14 different types of acne medications to try and get rid of this stubborn acne. Plus, it...

    Not Too Impressed...

I've tried everything to clear up my acne. I've had it since I was 11 and I'm almost 16 now. I have been on numerous medications and treatments but nothings worked. I've had some friends who have been on accutane and they have amazing skin now so when my doctor prescribed it I...

    It Wasn't Good

A medicine that fights acne and causes depression is a funny thing because acne itself can be pretty depressive.  I stuck with Accutane because, to me as a 14-year-old, acne was a terrible burden. When the six months were over, there weren't any results in terms of skin...

    My World Turned Upside Down

Where do I start? Well let me tell you a little about myself before accutane. I am now 42, married and have 2 great kids. I have been self employed for 17 years and lived a great life before Accutane. I loved my life and wouldn't trade it for anything. At the time a dermotogist...

    My Experience With Accutane

I still remember that day in 2004 when I got my very first pimple. I was in the 6th grade, and quite honestly I don't really remember it bothering me too much. However, over the next few months my once clear and beautiful skin turned into full blown acne. Of course everyone in my...

Worked For Me. But Here's Some Tips.

During treatment I had was quite tired during the day and found it hard to sleep at night. Overall the treatment worked well. Im acne free except for random pimples that'll come every once in a while. REMEMBER: Its safer males than it is females. Ladies, there's more risk for you...

    Wow!

Accutane is one of the most amazing things ever! It really helped clear up my face... It's been 3 months off though, and I'm starting to break out again... :/ , I really recommend it though, it's a miracle!

    My Story

I've just finished my 3rd month on Claravis with 3 more to go. My sideeffects now include extreme fatigue, not able to stay awake during the day while not able to sleep at night, sometimes dizzy, lack of concentration and rash on arms. My lab test have also gone for the worse. My...

    I'm Still Taking It.

Actually, I've just started the treatment, 5 weeks ago, and I'm taking the generic, Isotretinoin. I've been searching for groups and journals where I can discuss it with other people that have been through the same treatment or are going through it right now, like me. I've...
