    Trichotillomania or known

as "trich" is a super rare disorder that I happen to have, yes.. You heard it, I pull my hair out, I always hear people ask "but does it hurt?" No. It doesn't, it's relieving, actually, but the feelin after isn't. Constantly looking in the mirror and breaking down into tears...

    I have trichotillomania.

I'm a 13 year old girl in year 9 of comp (high school) and I've been pulling the hair out of my scalp science year 7. I think it was the stress of such a new environment that caused it. Though, I pulled my eyelashes and eyebrows when I was around 7-8 years old. I never knew what...

I've just pulled out all my eyelashes

and didn't realize that until they all were on the floor. It took me so long to have them big and full and now they are just gone. This should make me sad and frustrated and it does in some ways but not as much as I've experienced before and this is just so confusing. Ps: this...

my hair...not easy, I've literally had to stop myself from reaching up, and several times thought "just once won't hurt". After 17 years making it just 2 days feels so awesome.

.. I hate it whenever I have to say that word, but I have to because that is just who I am. I started pulling my hair out when I was 10 or 11 years old. I am 15 now. For a while I didn't even realize what I was doing until I saw that a bald spot was starting to form on the back...

The hardest part of having Trichotillomania is

probably the envy or jealously you have for other people who have hair. I know it's a nasty & torturous thing to do but sometimes I can't help the strong longing & envy as I watch my cousins braid their hair, or brush it, maybe even considering dying it. I'm simply surrounded...

Each thread of hair feels as soft as silk as I play with it with my fingers. I touch the root of one hair I have been dying to pull. I reach the root and dig my nails into the skin and there is a slight pop. I slowly part it from my head and feel a rush of relief. My...

The other day I pulled out half of my eyebrow after having them full. It was devastating. I have no eyelashes at all and as much as I want to stop, I can't. My friends and family don't get it and I feel completely alone.
