    I Have Trichotillamania

I first realized my Trichotillamania in 3rd grade. I would twist my hair around my finger, forming it into a knot, then I would rip it off. I did this atleast a hundread times a day. Until I got caught, I stopped. A year later I felt it, a strange pain in to eyebrows and eye...

    Trichotillomania or known

as "trich" is a super rare disorder that I happen to have, yes.. You heard it, I pull my hair out, I always hear people ask "but does it hurt?" No. It doesn't, it's relieving, actually, but the feelin after isn't. Constantly looking in the mirror and breaking down into tears...

Trich has been apart of my life

since I was about 6 years old. I don't know exactly what triggered it, but it has greatly impacted my life. It hit the hardest when I was in the 4th grade. I was a little 9 year old girl with no eyebrows and only 5 eyelashes on each eye. I knew back then that it was wrong, but I...

Hi, I'm new! I started pulling out my

eyebrows/lashes when I was 8-10, which has progressed to my head in more recent years (I'm 20 now). I honestly feel like I have okay control over it (no bald spots currently, and my hair is growing out!!), but in the last couple months I've sort of relapsed. I found this site...

The hardest part of having Trichotillomania is

probably the envy or jealously you have for other people who have hair. I know it's a nasty & torturous thing to do but sometimes I can't help the strong longing & envy as I watch my cousins braid their hair, or brush it, maybe even considering dying it. I'm simply surrounded...
