I Have Worked the Night Shift

Things I liked about nightshift, the boss was home sleeping and my team could have more of a laugh together:) The extra pay made up for my tax deduction, which was nice... Putting on Creedence full whack and driving home through the misty dawn... Getting searched by the cops...

I'm working right now at this moment

and trying hard to keep busy so I won't fall asleep. I guess it really doesn't matter the amount of sleep you get before your shift; you will always get tired at night. :(

Every job I've had since I went to college at

17 has been a night shift. Some til 5am, some til 2am, sometimes I'd have a lucky day and be out of there before midnight. All good though, I'm a night person anyway.

Getting pissed at the sku/UPC codes on all this damn acrylic paint . Had to drop it in the aisle and walk away for a minute. Ugh!! The last 1-2 hrs of the shift I start to not give A.F where the stuff goes . Lol oh well . Another day , another dollar ...

    Zzz Shift

Can you say HellShift? I work the closing shift at a grocery store in a very (you can say) unwelcoming neighborhood. Filled to the brim with thieves, homeless, and druggies. Finding past out men in the the toilet that have gone on themselves, is no more fun then...

With one goth and two perverts!

Goth boy had his posy that tried to hang around not ok being the only girl in s room on 12 guys. Especially when 9-10 should not be there. I think this is one of the reasons I prefer people watch over interacting.

I have just finished doing night shift work at

the hospital. While I hate having my sleep schedule messed up there is something special about the night. Working while everyone else sleeps and watching the world gradually wake up again in the morning.

    Gas Station.

Used to work 11pm to 7am at a gas station. Not many customers during that shift so I was able to get in a lot of sleep.  Sometimes I would get really bored, now this was back before cell phones and gameboys and all that stuff, I would break out the yellow pages and call some...

that I have to work 10 to 6am tonight. Ugh my normal shift is 5p-1a. My wife is upset about it but in the end I'm still making money so I can't compliance to much. I still able to take care of my family.

I do about two nights a month

and the rest days. They mess my sleep cycle up so much :s. If my manager thinks i'll work a night, sleep all through one day off and still manage to sleep that night to be in work the next day, she is sorely mistaken :s

I always preferred the night shift.

My favorite was the second shift Ie: 3-11 or 2-10. More action and a totally different set of the public to encounter. Graveyard shift IS a lot slower but more of the "good" stuff happens late at night. That's just me though. The nature of a persons job makes all the...

    Yeah. Many night shift jobs.

It messes with your body clock, your friends and family life. It's difficult to plan things in advance. And of course, you need to be able to sleep during the day. Which is fine during the autumn and winter. But I find harder to do during the spring and summer. If for no other...

8 hours of works but in 3/4 hours you usually don't have to do anything. I hate the night shift, it confuse me and I can never tell which day is. 06.46 am here, up since 11.00 am of yesterday. Time to sleep maybe?

    My Night Shift Experience

I just recently transfered from night shift to day shift after 8 long, hard months. The hardest work in my life thus far. The shelter sleeps 300 in the winter time, many in cafeteria chairs. 300 of the most vulnerable on the streets. They try to sleep. Many don't get rest but at...

    I Love Working Night Shift

When I was in the Navy, sometimes they needed to rotate somebody to night shift and I always volunteered. Nobody else would. I love it. No traffic, its not as hot (I was a jet mechanic), more laid back, you can wake up late.... Its just better for me, especially because II'm no...

My head is pulsing. The sunlight is my enemy,

and I now have murderous thoughts upon hearing through my open window what appears to be my neighbours digging and scraping their garden with a shovel. I wish I could just scream out the window at them. Oh, the joys of nights.

Worked the graveyard shift at Taco Cabana over

Today Was My First Graveyard Shift

I don't think I am going to like it very much. The job is incredibly easy, I just bring food to poker players who are too lazy to get it themselves, and they tip me like crazy. But the hours are going to kill me because not only is it late, but the work is slow paced so...
