    Every So Often

I lived in upstate New York for the first eleven years of my life, right off of the Susquehanna River, and my dad did a lot of canoeing, often bringing me or one of my siblings along. After that we moved to Long Island and since then my dad has taken up kayaking, and the good...

    Kayaking the Bay

One day last summer I mused aloud that I'd like to try kayaking. Well, it turns out my parents' neighbors had a two-man inflatable kayak under their porch all these years! Talk about 'ask and ye shall receive'! So my husband and I borrowed it and took it out into the bay. We had...

    Ocean... Living In Miami

I've gone a few times in the Bay. The water is shallow in some places only about 3-4 feet. There I can see ray, baby sharks and fish. One day I want to go to the west coast of FL and see the dolphins swim near the kayak. THAT would be cool!
