I Keep a Journal

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 1,668 People

I've kept a journal since I was around 12 yrs

old. My late aunt bought me one before I was born, and told my mom to save it for when I have my first "heartbreak". So my mom handed it to me one night as I was crying my EYES out over my first crush Ronald Mcdowell who had asked my best friend to the winter dance, instead of...

    I've been journaling

since 2006. There's been a few weeks or months I wouldn't write. It'll be a nice legacy to leave behind for future generations. And I always enjoy going back and reading past entries.

    October 25th 2011: "self Inflicted"

In that moment, one that changed my life, I recall the sharp, silver blade of the knife. The nervous pain I felt inside, The way I stayed up all night and cried. It was never meant to be this way, But then again what do they say? Once a cutter, you're always one, Your actions...

and I've only decided to start making that friggin' formal report on an experiment. I am, indeed, pressed on time yet not finding the right amount of interest to write nor the mood to want to be interested. However, anybody can tell that there is only one solution to this: rest...

I've tried keeping a journal many times amd

have failed, so I am trying again. My biggest concern for keeping a phsyical journal is privacy, but I'm sure I can keep it hidden. I think physically writing things down will help me sort problems out... I'm hoping I go through with it this time
