    Animals Are Quite Smart Too.

They are not just animals. They can understand us but we can't understand them because they don't speak the same language us. You can speak to them as normally as possible.

If I Could Talk To The Animals

I know they can hear and think and understand. One day I told my dog to get off my mother's bed, and to go lie on his bed. He understood and did exactly what I asked. Now I don't understand why he don't always listen to me. I say to him, I know you understand me!!

    They Must!

When I get mad at my cats and yell something like "knock it off" "behave" "stop it" they just stand there and look at me like "oh yeah?" then when I add "or I am going to throw something at you" they immediately beat feet outa there!

    Breakfast?

My cat reacts to the word "breakfast" moreso than other words. She gets the "br" sound for sure. I think she knows and associates it for what it is. A soft meal! Animals are smarter than we might think.

    Sealing The Deal.

So, when we went to the Humane Society to look at dogs - not thinking of getting one that day, just looking - we settled on this very mournful looking black lab mix. He wouldn't raise his head to meet your gaze. He wouldn't sniff your hand. He just sat there, looking sad. We took...

    Smarter Than You Think

I think animals can pick up on stuff quicker than people thinks.  For example the other day I went to Petco and I bought my dog a stuffed yellow duck that quacks when you squeeze it.  And sometimes I'll give her toys names and tell her to bring them to me.  And I called her...

    Taking Turns

A family member has five (yes, FIVE) cats. She talks to them all the time as if they were children. When it comes time to groom or play, she will call them by name and let them know when it's their turn. All the others will sit back, as if in line, and patiently wait their...
