    Gramps would crap hellfire

if he ever heard me say those words shoot and gun when referring to firing weapons. That said, my conscience is clear enough to continue to say, hell yea I can shoot. It would be silly to own the as many as I do if I couldn't. The whole time I was in the US ARMY, I never...

Did Anyone Else Letter In Rifle?

I lettered in Rifle in high school (before learning in college that most high schools don't have rifle teams or ranges). Did anyone else out there also get a letter in Rifle? (Also had my Rifle and Shotgun merit badges, of course)

One point in my life I used to go target

shooting with my grandpa, it was a very fun time, occasionally there are times when we do it even now, it's fantastic. Although I admit, I am very good with some guns, but less than adequate with others. But I love target shooting (With the guns that suit me).

The first time I shot it was a time needed.

And I was too young to even know what it was. No I didn't hurt anyone nor myself. But the people around me thought it was a joke for me to hold it.So I pulled the trigger. Luckily in the air and not in someone's face.

    It was a clay pigeon,

but I couldn't see any other birds in the sky. The noise was intensive. The kick into my shoulder hurt. I got the target, and it was my first shot! Not so accurate afterwards though. I could understand a fascination.
