unexpectedly. I'm still in shock and angry. When things like this happen, I seriously lose more and more hope that there is a God.

Dad has been gone for almost fifteen years now.

He was and still is the best man who has ever influenced my life. Even after all these years I still feel his loss deeply. He raised my sisters and I as his own. Loved my mother dearly. Set an example that no man has ever met yet. He is in my thoughts daily. All the...

    A Parent Passing.

Early march of this year was the passing of my father, I arrived at my parents home after getting a call from my sister that an ambulance had arrived & my mother was essentially a wreck of emotion. In actuality I had been grieving for months knowing my father was on his way...

    30+ Year Abscence

This Has Been Haunting Me For 30+ Years. As Far As I Know, I Was Born In The State Of Georgia. I Still Remain In The South. First Off, I Don't Understand How A Parent Can Just Walk Out Of Their Child's Life. Well, Age May Play A Key Part. I Lived In Hawaii For Quite Awile As A...

I lost both parents at a young age - my Dad

when I was three and my Mum when I was twelve. Luckily for me, I had the rest of my loving and supportive family to fall back on. My family is a huge part of my life.

    It Has Been A Month

Mom and Dad I lost my mom when I was a little boy.  I remember her vividly even though I was so young.  She was a beautiful woman.  Kind, sweet, smart, loving.  But she was sick a lot.  I remember my mother spent more time either getting ready to go in a hospital or in a...

My dad died when I was 12.

And my mum disowned me. Even though it was devastating and heart breaking, I'm not alone, I never have been and for that I am grateful.

I lost my mom when I was ten,

due to a crash. I still block it out as much as possible so I won't cry.. I lost my father when I was 16, that wasn't an accident really, my father was very abusive. But, I learned to forgive him and myself after I lost him.

My dad was the closest person to me in this

world. There aren't many days that go by that I don't think of him. He's been gone for 16 years but I miss his wisdom. When u grow up and have a family of your own you realize how valuable that wisdom was and could use it today.

    It Was A Long Battle....

In June of 2008, three weeks after my 16 birthday, my dad had a heart attack. He was working in his gallery that morning (he was an artist) and had gone next door for a glass of water. The owner of the shop was a former nurse, saw him, and called an ambulance right away. He had...

I lost both of mine when I was relatively young.

An adult, but too young to lose both. My dad was the hardest because we shared things when I was little but grew apart completely when I got older. Just months after learning to be friends, and enjoying it, he learned he was sick. 4 months later he was gone. There was a lot...
