regarding hearing voices in one's head. I appreciate what he said so much that I feel it must be highlighted.
I am going to offer an opinion from my own experience of hearing voices in my head and you can decide if it makes sense to you. Not everybody is the same.
After 9/11 when the country was gearing up for war I was in a shop and found a bumper sticker with a quote by Ghandi:

I bought the bumper sticker & it is on my rear bumper to this day.
