I Like Animals Better Than People

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 274 People

    People = &*(^%$

Animals don't judge. Animals don't patronise you or bicker behind your back. Animals don't believe they're better than anyone else. They don't take pleasure in hurting someone else's feelings. They don't sell their souls for something as meaningless as money. Animals don't...

    More Trustworthy

In my experiences with humans and animals, I find that unlike some humans, animals generally are predictable. They hunt for food, not pleasure, protect family with their life, many live in social units with clearly marked boundaries of earned respect, not money and their love...

I saw a dead bird on my porch today.

It looked so young. Fully feathered but nowhere near its full size. It was actually still alive when I saw it, but it just about died in my hands, well my gloves. It was so sad because that's my favorite thing about my apartment: waking up to birds chirping and singing. RIP...

I Love Animals Much More Than People

For me, animals are the perfection in this world. Take any animal, look at it closely and you will find perfection.  They have everything  need for survival, they have grace, beauty, dignity.  They have so many qualities we like to think are unique for human beings. They have...

    Lets Be Honest...

... an animal has never stabbed you in the back, except maybe that dog that tried to mount you while you were sitting down!

Here's another classic example of how animals

are better than people. I cam home from a day working at Silverwood Theme Park, and I had nearly collapsed from stress and anxiety. Caused of course, by none other than PEOPLE. So when I got home, my rottweiler, Nova seemed to know that I was not feeling too great, so she came...

People Need To Learn From Animals

I have grown up all my life abused, with many people coming into my life, and leaving. However, as soon as I got my first pet, I realised they are so much more intelligent than humans. All of us are destroying the planet, causing constant problems and drama, with not regard for...

I was just driving my friend home

when we drove past a cat that had been hit by a car and just left on the road. I turned around and parked on the side of the road and we got out to move it off the road so it wouldn't be hit again and hopefully it's owners would find it because it wasn't wearing a collar. There...

WHOA, hold the phone there Missy! It sure sounds to me like you may be the one with a social issue! What right do you have to determine who is, or is not mentally ill? Or what is or is not acceptable social behavior? Just because a person is more comfortable with "Other Than...

Why I Find People Exhausting and Animals Relaxing

I like people - a lot, actually.  But I enjoy animals a lot more. It's just that people are exhausting to be around, for me.  In conversation, they'll be saying something to be ploite that they don't mean & it's obvious - I feel like that's actually more rude than...
