    It's probably down to bias,

but I think that there are lots of British TV shows that I love. Here are a few (some of which, unfortunately, no longer run): Sherlock Dr Who New Tricks Death In Paradise Silent Witness Merlin The Musketeers QI Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes series Poirot

    Down The Chimney

The boy's name was Tom Wake, and he was nine years old. And perhaps because the year was 1920, or perhaps because he was the sort of boy who liked to believe in things until there was a reason not to, he believed in Father Christmas. And so, on Christmas Eve, he found it hard to...

I love British tv. well in all honesty,

I could watch the most boring show on BBC, and I'd love it because of the accent. I was watching some show about tumbleweeds on there last week. I couldn't tell you anything that was said on that show. I was concentrating on the accent

I am so bad! I should be watching Luther so I can review it but yet again I got sidetracked by another show and at least this one is from the UK. Whites is a show about chefs and working in the restaurant industry. It's quite funny and I chose it on a hunch (and hulu was shoving...

    Always Surprised

There is this British Christmas special (Dec 2010) that I happened upon on YouTube recently that turned out to be really fun. It was the One Ronnie Show (Ronnie Corbett) and it has some very clever sketches. There are also numerous celebrity appearances throughout. Come to...

I Pretty Much Watch Only British Shows

Even though I live in the USA. I am originally from New Zealand and grew up watching shows from the UK. American TV shows are crap. I love britcoms and British Mysteries. I also love British stand up comedy and panel shows.

    Gods Of Comdey

there has never, and never will be a show quite like monty python. that show, and its vast quantity of hilarious, possibly involuntary-urination-invoking sketches will live on forever in the name of comedy. i will admit that i couldn't breathe for a probably unhealthy amount of...

The Great British Baking Show - my family's

observations: 1. Me: my goodness the Swedish Princess cake is worth every penny you pay the baker. 2. Daughter: popularity of this show in Great Britain is proof that life must be boring there. 3. Husband/Son - couldn't be reached for comment.

I really liked the prequel to Inspector Morse,

"Endeavour". Two series are done - anyone know if and when more will be made? It kind of ended on a downer.

I do enjoy some of the British shows

that are shown on BBC America, and I wish that they would show more of them. They have too many repeats of Star Trek Next Gen that could be filled with other shows. When I am in Britain I try and catch what shows I can.

Gold TV does show the episodes of those time gone movies and sitcoms. Some Mother's do have 'em. Rising Damp, Steptoe and Son...are a few of the classics that I can watch over and over again. Only Fools and Horses - The king pin of them all.
