I Am So Glad For Youtube

I was never a big fan of YouTube until very recently. Even when I started posting songs for Lee it still seemed to me to be full of music in which I had little or no interest. Somehow though I encountered a classical piece - perhaps an excerpt from Carmen - but as I was posting I...

    Meditative Intent

I love to listen to classical music whenever I'm: writing, working, meditating, or reading something important. I don't know why, but having classical music as a backdrop or setting of my environment is really soothing. I've recently acquired all kinds of Bach, Vivaldi, and...

Great Music -- And Funny Performance, Too

Victor Borge was a classic. He played well but made it very humorously entertaining as well. I consider myself fortunate to have seem him perform live way back when.

. I dont like all of it, even if its the same piece. As i see it. If the music becomes hard going = no distinct melody I soon find the listening without any pleasure and lose interest. I like things simple yes beautiful in musical listening terms. Ill post links of classical...

    Emotion Without Words

Music in one of its finer forms. Beautiful, simple yet intricately complex, and such a conveyor of emotion that certain pieces were banned long ago for fear of inciting unsolicited rushes of feelings that weren't exactly prudent for the time. It soothes me, and it moves me.

Fur Elise By Beethoven - (beautiful Piano)

Someone once said, I don't know art, but I know what I like.  Well, I don't know classical music, but I know what *I* like.  And I like this piece.  It is one of my favorites.

    Don't Know Much Though

I really don't know much about classical music, so it's tough for me to decipher what's a sonata and what's a concerto.  All I know is I like to listen to it.  It soothes me quite a lot.  I particularly like woodwinds, perhaps since I played bassoon for a few...
