    Unsuitable and Subversive

    I love the contrast between raw, in-your-face messages and sweet images.  I had never considered such a juxtaposition until I looked at a cross-stitch website an old friend designed for someone.  It was awesome!  I have a number of projects in the planning stages...

    Therapeutic. And Slightly Subversive.

    One time, for a friend, I made a lovely pillow on which I embroidered, in pastel pinks and purples, "Rock Out With Your **** Out, Hang Out With Your Wang Out." It was a very graceful script, and the border was made of entwined vines and purple and yellow blossoms...

    The Process.

    i find the process of cross-stitching to be very soothing. but i hardly ever finish the pattern that i start. and then if i do finish it i don't know what to do with it. so for me it's more of a creative sort of busy work than something to be displayed.
