    Sometimes I Do.  When ...

Sometimes I do.  When I'm feeling down, the last thing I want to hear is some happy, upbeat song, so I tend to match my music to my mood.

It'S The Only Thing That Feels Right

Sad music is the only thing I listen to lately, without realizing it those are the songs that I choose to listen to. I guess I do it to fit my mood, cause happy songs certainly wouldn't fit me right now. Sometimes it makes me feel like I'm not the only one whose world is falling...

    It Touches My Soul

I just love sad music. I don't know why...You can pick out any CD, go through it and find those slow tear jerkers, the ballads, the god awful break up songs.....For some crazy reason, the depressing ones are always my favorite tracks on the whole CD. I can listen to them over and...

It Fits In More With My Tempermant

Whenever I listen to depressing music, it somehow makes me feel closer to myself and my surroundings. Whenever I listen to "happy" music, it just reminds me of how much of a f*** up I am, which in turn leaves me feeling worse about myself.

I am an emo to some extent. Not to the point of self harming, but to the dress sense and music taste. I like depressing music because it calms me down. it helps me think. it helps me sort my head out. it helps me go to a place far away from here, to a place where I don't have to...

    Depressing Music

i love all kinds of music but something about depressing sad music puts me in a good mood. Weird but true, maybe it puts my reasons for being sad in perspective.I don't have near the problems as the singers of the best depressing songs.

    Damien Rice

This man has an incredibly voice that soothes and excites.  However, he completely depresses me with certain songs of his.  Which I love.  They help me release my sadness and tears, but they also make me so desperate for love.  The one song that gets me every...

    Behind The Sadness

Depressing music...it makes my heart swell and my eyes grow sad, but behind the depression is a hint of a relieved smile because it resonates with me and reminds me that I'm not alone. Someone else feels the way that I do and created the words and sounds to make me feel alive in...

    Touching Your Soul..

I do think that when a good song is sung with the emotion, passion & feeling that it deserves, you can possibly get to open a heart or an eye or an ear so that others can, for just a moment, use the song as a window to really see, feel & understand something about others in a way...

    I Like Depressing Music.

Its not something i do on purpose. Though it seems that way. Current music playing in the background: All I need - Radiohead. Its kind of like i get trapped in this symphony of tragic beautiful music that is so sadistically satisfying.

The weird thing is that I LOVE to listen to

breakup songs, but I've been through a breakup. I think that because I have no direct attachment to the meaning behind the words, the song doesn't effect me much. Lord knows how many times I listen to Sam Smith and Adele.

depressing music doesn’t exactly make you sad.

It actually helps to view things much clear. Like someone smart said, music is what a person cannot describe in words. depressing lyrics have emotion that know how to trigger you in that right spot and make you realize the truth. and after you cry, you feel strong once again.
