I never gave much thought to paranormal on a personal basis until my father passed away.

About 2 weeks after he passed away, I went to bed and had a dream about him.(Before he passed,he was crippled with arthritis and walked with crutches).

In my dream, we were sitting at the kitchen table in the house that I grew up in. We exchanged greetings. I asked him how he was doing and he said he was okay. I asked him why he had to pass away. He said he just couldn't bear pain any longer.I asked him if he could tell about where he is. He did not seemed to want to talk about it. I asked him if he could see anything in my future that I should avoid. With that he got up and started to walk swiftly  to the door. All the while forgetting to use his crutches. He remembered the crutches and half heartedly pretended to use them as he hurried on toward the door.

In the living room were my youngest son and my niece playing and he said hi to them and continued to the door. He went out the door and disappeared.

I woke up and felt comforted to have had that dream. I didn't give it anymore thought.

About a week later my youngest son tells my wife he had a dream about my father at the old house and he was playing with his cousin there in the living room.

This dream also played out the same way for one of my other brothers, who related the dream in the kitchen. At the same table.

Now I am sure there must be something to the life after death idea. We must be on different frequencies in the same place. Had I been more open to the idea maybe I would have recognized the dream as his final goodbye.
