I Like Grunge

I miss the "Seattle Sound"! 308 People

    A New Sound

I was living in Tacoma Washington when Grunge exploded onto the scene in the late 80's & early 90's. It was only a 35-50 minute drive depending on traffic to get to Seattle.  I was blown away by the exciting new Grunge sounds of bands like: Alice In Chains...

I love the music and style.

I saw somewhere it said it was for sad people and felt like I could relate.

I Remember When I First Heard It

I was blown away.  I had finally heard some music that spoke to me.  Like an old, worn in, comfortable flannel, it feels good.

I lived near Seattle when Grunge began. So cool to be so close. I remember going to Aberdeen Wa. before and when Nirvana became famous.  A tiny little washed up town ina vast area of clear cut logging, so sad, . Pearl Jam , Alice in Chains, and others pulled at my heart. I'd...

The music, I have grown up with!

The fashion I just recently discovered. I like the idea of grunge clothing and lifestyle. I like 90's and Soft Grunge.

I'm still looking for the right Nirvana hoodie.

    More Than Just Music....

To me grunge is not just music, nor is it the way one dresses, or an out-dated trend, It is a statement about one’s self. The “I don’t give a **** about what you think I should be or do.” And, having independent thoughts and expressions. I miss the days when people cared...

    I have a grunge style

but I'm too afraid to wear the clothes I like. And when a guy is grunge I find it SOOO attractive. I know a guy, Chase, and he's grunge and I've fallen for him and we have barely talked... ☺️ But yeah, I love grunge.

You Want It? You Got It.

We are hoping to accomplish bringing back the "Seattle sound" so popular with Alice In Chains and the many others that came from Seattle.  Nirvana is a big thing to us also.  We would appreciate your support.

    The Big Cobain-g Theory

One night about years ago, I was listening to the radio and "Come as You Are" by Nirvana came on except I didn't know what the song was called or who the song was by, I just remembered hearing it when I was little. I looked it up and saw another song by Nirvana(hint, hint most...

I never really leave the genre, but lately I've had to pull out all my grunge albums for the story I'm writing. I have a character who used to get called a Cobain-wanna be until he cut his hair short because he never left 1991 style wise. Alice in Chains is seeming to speak to my...

    The "grunge" Label...

As a proud Washingtonian, I feel that mainstream media couldn't come up with anything better, to describe the regional sound. I dislike the fact that a lot of the Pacific Northwest bands were lumped together under this "grunge" label.

    Too Young..

I was born in 96', two years after Kurt killed himself. My dad would still listen to Nirvana, he had all their albums. He'd also listen to soundgarden, stone temple pilots, pearl jam..those kinda bands. We're British, so we only really heard the American bands. At about 13, I...
