I Like Heavy Metal Music

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 2,981 People

Well, I like some of it.

I'm not sure if you could call it "heavy metal," but this was the closest fit I could find, considering that every other group mentioning the word "Winger" is about people hating political parties... I just want to talk about music right now :P I gotta say, a lot of glam bands...

    Heaven And Hell

I first discovered heavy metal music back in the 80s when I was a teenager. I've been a fan since then and have been to numerous concerts. The latest was Black Sabbath in September of this year. I've seen them at least three times and was lucky enough to see them when Ronnie...

I grew up during the biggest wave of heavy

metal music in the 80s and early 90s. Back when MTV's Headbangers Ball was still on the air. While I'm not completely sure which heavy metal singer/band I heard first, I do know that Judas Priest was one of the first ones I did hear, and I've been hooked ever since. Some of my...

I Like Metal But I Don't See Myself As A Metalhead

I like metal music. I have albums by Megadeth, Mastodon, In Flames, Shadows Fall, Type O Negative, and several more. But, I tend to stay out of the metal community - not entirely, but for the most part. For one thing, metalheads tend to be a lot more intense and clique-ish than...

Love it. But not the thrash metal (unless it's
