Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 380 People

At one point I had to get up before daybreak, regularly.  I'm not really an early bird and during the winter season getting up at 3 am was horrible.  But as soon as spring was at the helm it certainly had a very special charm.  Though I live in a city, I was...

    Unless They Are Terrible!

What? You are going to sit there and tell me that every bird you ever heard sing a song was good? Because I can tell you in my experiences in life, I have heard a bird or two that sounded terrible!

    Noisy Neighborhood

My neighborhood where I live has some of the noisiest birds that I've ever heard.  They begin in the wee hours of the morning and go all day and into the night.  Though I say noisy, I almost always get cheered up when I hear them singing.  We have some mourning doves that like...

    I Does Not Matter Where

I am, if I wake up and hear the birds outside I know it's okay to get up! It could be sparrows chirping in the courtyard outside the hotel in Venice or home in Southern California. A blue-jay on steroids fighting with a woodpecker over peanuts left on the deck railing...

The song birds are coming back!

: ))) and their songs brighten my every day! The grey days here are slowly disappearing, being replaced by much appreciated sunshiny days and cool breezes after a long, stuffy, all-too-quiet winter. I love this time of year, because the bird's songs seem so much happier than...

    My Sunshine

I will always remember the afternoon we met. When this little grayish fellow, fell on my Porch injured. The Eyes of this gentle sparrow crammed with tears. It snuffled and quivered as I tried to take a closer look. The feathers made a rustling sound as it made all efforts to fly...

I grew up in a house that was surrounded by trees.  There was a tree lined lane leading from the road to the house and then at the back the garden was surrounded by large trees, and in particular, my favourite tree, a large pear tree.  My most vivid memories of...

    In The Spring

I like to sit by the open windows and listen to the birds sing. This to me means the earth and the wildlife is waken from it's long (sometimes to long ) winters nap.
