I used to wish that Julie Andrews was my mother and that **** Van Dyke was my father. They were both just so cute together and they had great on-camera chemistry. What a great movie this was! It used to make me cry at the end though because she would leave the children, even...
I love this movie so much. I especially love the little ship admiral guy who sets off cannons from his roof.
My favorite song is Chim-Chiminee, cause I thought **** Van Dyke was the coolest guy ever when I was little, and this was the best song he sang. He has a nice voice...
I love marry poppins, is funny, serious, compassionate, but has to stay impartial, witch is hard when you love someone so much.
this movie has so many great songs. Some how **** Van Dyke and julia andrews always make their movies full of songs and laughter.
I always loved her carpet bag and all the wonderful things she pulled out of it:
a mirror, a rubber tree plant, a hat stand...
My friends always joke that my purse is exactly like that!!!
Well, I do aspire to be just like Mary: Practically Perfect In Every Way...
Mary Poppins is still one of my favorite movies. Two things from the movie that I actually thought were possible:
* If I snapped my fingers, then my room would clean itself.
* I could enter a magical world using chalk on the sidewalk.
I wasn’t a very bright child.
of Sugar number that I'm hoping someone on EP could answer (it almost freaked me out as a child).
Why is it that the jack in the box, chest of drawers, closet, nightstand, and toy soldiers suddenly go haywire on their own...
Mary Poppins is just the greatest Disney movie ever made. The music is catchy and beautiful and fun. And Julie Andrews is "practically perfect in every way."
What kid didn't want Mary Poppins as their nanny?
I remember when I was really...
Mary Poppins was traveling home, but due to worsening weather, she decided to stop at a hotel for the night. She approached the receptionist and asked for a room for the night.
"Certainly madam," he replied courteously.
"Is the restaurant open still?" inquired Mary.
I remember watching Mary Poppins over and over again on lazy saturday afternoons when I was a kid. There was something magical and captivating about the story and the music. Perhaps if I watched it this afternoon, I would be just as captivated. :)
