Maybe I Should Have Looked For the "I Love Sci-fi" Group

my very favorite author is Sir Arthur C. Clarke (RIP 2008)... his books inspired me to the greatness mankind can achieve.  He was a philosopher and sociologist and real scientist all wrapped up in one awesome person.  Other than his books, I love sci-fi movies like...

Science Fiction Is A Dying Art.

I am a second generation sci-fi fan. My father and I still watch sci-fi shows together (re-runs of course.) Some of my favorite shows are Farscape, SG1,Voyager, Deep Space Nine, Firefly, Battlestar. I also really liked The Sarah Connor Chronicles but apparently no one else did...

    Love Reading Sci-fi

It would be my first choice.  I love stories about outer space & aliens.  Especially if they are good aliens.  I like to read what the author comes up for their culture & quirks.  There is one book I read, [will add title, later], it is about a hospital...

Just to further elaborate on the previous story that was made by 'snowbunny1001'; yes the two entities of woman and science fiction can quite happily converge, co-exist and even be enjoyed! Women can actually watch, appreciate and be fans of sci-fi along with the women who star...

Arthur C. Clarke is absolutely brilliant

and I can't believe I only started to read his work earlier this year. Don't watch SyFy's childhood's end, it's absolute crap but the book was gorgeous!

Just watched all Season 1 on Netflixx and was GUTTED to learn than HBO decided to pull this show after one season. Why do they do this :( so many story lines without answers. I wished they had rolled out a season 2.

    The Modern Day Prometheus

It will be impossible not to sound gushy when I talk about Sci-Fi. Be warned I like to believe that good Sci-Fi is prophecy. A stone mad, bug-eyed, sign-wearing, prophet, crying on the corner.  But he's not crying doom, he is saying: "We will survive our...

I Wish There Were More Good Tv Shows and Movies..

The genre doesn't seem to be as popular as it was in the 1950s and 60s.. there are fewer influential/substantial novels, and in multimedia it has become marginal at best. I want more! :) I can get why some of the speculative stuff isn't popular (and marketable) with the current...
