So hubs has left for work

and I'm sitting on my porch chain smoking; a cup of coffee in hand, dog at my feet, watching a spring storm slowly roll in and listening to the birds heralding in a new day. I think my joy is coming back. I think I will be okay.

I like quiet places. I wish I had the luxury to

live in remote area's with peace and quiet. Sure I enjoy having a walk around the city at night. But nothing beats the peace and view you get away from everything.

Life Goes On Long After The Thrill Of Living Is Gone

Sometimes, it is just nice to be where it is quiet, serene, and peaceful..a place to be able to think, to plan, to reflect on where I've been, where I am, and where I want to be. Just listening to the water, the sound of my footsteps on the earth, the crunch of the grass and/or...

    I love them. I love a place

I'm blessed to live in an area of serene

and quiet places. There is water everywhere. The gulf is about ten minutes away. There are ancient rivers and streams that flow into this gulf that are less than a mile away. Then there's all the swamps (sometimes dark there) and brackish bays. I'm literally surrounded by water...

.. People that visit often comment about the mood and feeling's they get while being here. It's not always quiet, I crank the music for a shower, wife cranks it to cook.....so it's not a library or anything. There's just a sense of peace and tranquility that is the hallmark of...

You find them when you lose yourself.

I find it when I look at the sky. It reminds me of a detailed painting that changes its tones every now and then. Its calming, don't worry about the other noise block it out (unless your in a situation where you need to concentrate) Try it yourself and let me know.
