    Snow Cones At Work

In the summer it is like an oven where I work.  People have passed out from the heat.  Depending on where you work it can be at least ten or even twenty degrees hotter than the outside temperature.  We are all very stinky when we leave work.  But... there is...

    Snow Cones

God love those little carts in shopping mall lots vending their frozen concoctions of joy. I love berry flavor, grape, tutti flavor, I would try most any kind. It is a perfect treat on a hots summers day.

    Cold & Fruity

There is nothing better than a sno-cone on a hot day.  Something about that shaved ice with the flavored syrup is so refreshing.  But, one must get the right flavor.  Blue is best  ;-)

    Orange And Lemonade

There used to be a couple sno-cone stands fairly close to my old place.  Me and Fey made a point to go a couple times each summer. I always swore I'd try something new.Yeah right.Every single sno-cone I got was half orange, half lemonade.  Oh, occasionally I'd go wild and get...

    Mmm Ice

It's just flavored ice, what the hell's so special about it that it has to cost like 5 bucks some places? Yeah...tastes good but not enough to spend 5 bucks on.

    Cinnamon With Cream and Nuts

As I was growing up in a small town in the south, every neighborhood had a sno-cone shack.  Most had at least 50 flavors.  Spearmint and root beer were two of my favorites, but my all-time favorite is cinnamon. They were available with cream on top as well, or with...

There used to be a signature peach snowcone vendor on my street when I was younger. All the adults especially liked him. But my favorite was always strawberry or cherry. You can never go wrong with the reds.

    Missing The Beach

I wonder if I will still be here in MI next Summer. Would like to relocate. Summers are beautiful here, though, and Spring, all the flowers, everything turning green again. That Spring green color,  so fresh, it smells like life. Sitting on the Beach at Lake Michigan, sand...

    My Favorites Are On Oahu

Perhaps the best snow cones on the planet are on the island of Oahu.    Hawaiians call this shave ice and it is truly a godsend on hot, sticky days. If you ever get to the North Shore, be sure to visit Matsumoto's General Store in Haleiwa...

    For Something So Simple The...

For something so simple they are so good.  On a really hot day what is better than a cup of ice with flavoring on it?  I like to get the rainbow, then you get a little of all the flavors.
