    Hooked On Sudoku?

First tried these addictive annoying puzzles a couple of years ago when the wife purchased a book of them in an airport terminal to 'fill in the time'. OMG, what was she thinking. Wifey moved on as some of the real tough ones discouraged her, however, I got hooked. Consequently...

Sudoku Fan In Alabama - Anyone Else In Alabama Like This?

I remember solving Sudoku puzzles when they were listed as "Number Place" puzzles in Dell puzzle magazines. The thing is, I would like to share my love of Sudoku with others in my area (Huntsville, AL). Anyone else?

I really do like it. But I have a dilemma If I

put the 4 beside the 5, then the 9 doesn't work with the 8 in the middle. And the 3 on the right blocks what I think should be a 7 So if I put a 9 where I had a 5 in the bottom right, will I be ok with having the 4 in the bottom middle square? Please advise.... This is...

    Not So Good At It...

I really like Sudoku, but I'm not that good at it.  I like to do it until I mess up big on some easy one, then I get mad and don't do a puzzle again for a long time.

Sudoku - It Is A Great Pastime!

Though I started with simple Sudoku puzzles in 'USA Today' a few years ago, I got fascinated by the sheer logic of the magic squares. Now I have progressed to the tough ones (by whatever names they may be called, such as Diabolical, Extreme, etc.). I haven't become an addict as...

    Daily Sudoku

    Getting Better At It

When I first began to play, I could not do it without going to each square and writing ALL of the possibilites for each square first!  UGH!  I look back on that and realize that many rubber trees died to make the erasers I chewed through! Now, I'm getting better &...

Usually you expect the solution to be unique

but a couple times there was a bifurcation and a second solution resulted by reversing 2 key pairs of digits (like replacing 875 and 758 with 578 and 857). That was unusual enough but I just found a non-trivial alternative solution (many digits reversed/replaced). Because of...
