I Like the Smell of Cigarette Smoke

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 289 People

    I grew up inhaling cigarettes.

I was 4 years old when my dad and uncles would gather at our house and stay up all night playing backgammon while smoking cigarette after cigarette. I loved watching them crack jokes and listening to their laughter. I was my daddy's favorite daughter and my uncles' favorite...

    I realized this today.

.. I never quite understood why no one liked the smell like I do, the people I know just tells me they despise it. It may be that I grew up around my uncle who smoked all the time, and I loved my uncle, so I also loved his smell of smoke. I can take one sniff and smell a rich...

    Cigarettes Smell Great

I always enjoy the smell of cigarette smoke, particularly outside or in the garage when friends are smoking. I smoke only occasionally, but it is nice to smell it often. Luckily, a friend just moved back to town who smokes a lot!

Hate The Habit Love The Smell

I've only smoked maybe half a dozen cigarettes in my life, but whenever I walk past someone who is smoking, I'm always filled with a confused sense of horror ("What are you DOING to yourself?") and happiness, because the smell of really fresh smoke (much like bonfire smoke I...

    Cologne & Smoke<3333

I always liked the smell of cigarette smoke. I guess it was because I had a lot of smokers around me when I was a child, so I grew up with it. I think It smells so good mixed with cologne, I love it when a guy has a lingering scent of smoke to him <3

    Home

The smell of cigarettes is home to me. Kinda like the way your favorite grandmas perfume always makes you feel relaxed, or the way sitting in a certain chair in your house brings back good memories. My friends think I'm weird, but it's not like I can just BAM change my likes and...

I don't smoke and never will,

but my aunt from my dads side used to smoke when i was younger and I got used to the smell. Whenever I smell someone smoking a cigarette I just get the memory of going to my grandmothers house on Christmas Eve when I was 7 and watching my aunt smoking alone outside of the house...

    My Favorite Smell

Growing up in a house with a heavy smoking mother the smell of cigarette smoke just seemed normal to me. I took it for granted. In my early teens I spent the entire weekend at a friends house. His mom didn't smoke. It actually seemed strange to me...like something was missing...

    It Brings Back Memories

All my male family relatives uncles and cousins in Taiwan smoke. I find the smell of cigarettes as a somewhat comfort to me. When I was younger my mother would take us to visit them in Kaohsiung and I'd spent a lot of time with them. I'd watch my aunts and uncles with their...

    I Don't Smoke Either, But...

I enjoy the smell of cigarette smoke for some unexplainable reason. I only like it if people are smoking it outside, and I smell it as it wafts by, not concentrated cigarette smoke.

Since Age 3, I Have Always Loved The Smell Of Fresh Cigarette Smoke!

I am in the minority on the cigarette smoke "issue" because I actually LOVE the smell of cigarette smoke. When i was a young child in the early 80's, smoking was commonplace. people smoked in their homes, in restaurants, building lobbies, and even on airplanes. These were the...

I remember my younger self being a willing

secondhand smoker. I would stand behind my grandfather whenever I caught him puffing away, dabbing the lit end against his half-full (or half-empty, if you think like me) ashtray. To catch a whiff of this gray cloud was heaven; it calms my dainty, sugar-powered body. Ignorance...

including my mother, so its become something that comforts me. I don't personally smoke myself, and doubt I ever will, but the smell brings me home.

I smoke constantly and I only love it

for two reasons: 1. Taste. 2. Smell. I think it smells disgusting and yet that is why I like it!
