    Against my will, I became a volunteer at the

    National Audubon Society when I was 11. Since then, I have loved watching wild birds. I'm not much for pet birds, but I love seeing birds in the open sky or water. My favorites are ducks and raptors. My absolute favorite bird is the female Northern Cardinal.
