I do like to cook. I don't use other people's

recipe's though. I make my own. Last night was chicken and dumplings. Let's just say that I think you would like it.

As it is steadily snowing a lot outside,

I think it is stew weather so I threw into a big stew pot the following: chicken, carrots, turnip, potatoes, leak, pearl onions, chicken stock, vegetable stock, turmeric, black pepper, cumin, garlic, basil, and thyme. And all this is stewing now. I look forward to it.

My first ever Pumpkin pie has just gone in the

oven. For some reason Pumpkin Pies aren't a huge thing here in Australia. Why? The pastry was an easy one to make or I could have cheated and bought a pre-made pie shell. The filling is so easy t's ridiculous. BTW, I now totally understand why Pumpkin Pie Spice is a must, so nice...

I love to cook and to try out new recipes.

Recently my husband was diagnosed with high blood pressure, so I am now trying to learn to cook without salt and without using a lot of prepared foods. Anyone who has any links to any good sites for healthy recipes pls pass them along :)

    I enjoy it although cooking

for only one can be a drag sometimes. I like trying new recipes and making old favorites. It is nice when I make enough to have leftovers too. I do a fair share of my cooking in a slow cooker, but make some casseroles and skillet meals as well.

The first thing I ever cooked on my own was

Ramen noodles. One lazy Sunday, my mom was sick and I wanted to make her something. So I walked into her room and subtly asked: "Hey mom, how do you make noodles?" She told me, get a pan, pour some water into it, put it on the stove, turn the switch to 7 and when the water...
