Made some honey garlic chicken tonight

and it came out amazing!!! I am so happy my cousin gave me the idea. The sauce only consisted of chopped garlic, hot sauce and honey boiled together for about 3 minutes and then glazed over baked or fried wings. It is something all should try if you like wings! :)

Today I made a spinach & mushroom lasagne,

just on an impulse, without a recipe. It all began with a bag of spinach at the veggie section, on my shopping tour yesterday. It was like "pick *me* today!". So I did. I gathered together some brown mushrooms, fresh green and dry red onions, cream for cooking, and organic...

    I'll Do All the Cooking

I've been cooking virtually my whole life. I come from a family where most of the men know how to cook. I like it so much that I considered going to chef's school. What always stops me is I worry that if it becomes my job then I won't want to do it in my leisure life. I love...

and her kids stay over taking over what feels like the whole house. In the past weve always been really competitive where cooking is concerned, but tonight was really different. (maybe we've grown up). We cooked together over a bottle of wine. Pan fried scallops with chorizo and...

and I'm in the kitchen. Beef cooking in the slow cooker for lasagne, and vegetable soup simmering away on the stove. After lunch I'm going to bake some ginger butter biscuits and maybe some brownies :)

been to prepare ALL of our meals without ANY genetically modified ingredients. So far, so good! Now, of course, Jon has eaten at the pub quite often and we've eaten food prepared by others. So, perhaps we've ingested a small amount of gmo. But the amount has been minimal...

The stereotype of the divorced middle-aged man

is lots of prepackaged or take-out food. I like not being the stereotype, and making myself real food. (Last night was roast pork and corn on the cob.) Sometimes life is too much and I'm just too tired (I'm still rebuilding my life), so I'll resort to something from the store...
