Fresh Poster | on 09:18AM at Oct 7th, 2008 I need help! My mom is a fantastic chef. She cooks all sorts of wonderful gourmet foods... and she has a big birthday coming up. I want to get her some really special new cooking supplies. Does anyone have any recommendations? She loves to entertain and cook for friends, so I was thinking maybe some gourmet utensils like these or something? www.savoirvivreutensils.com/ I'm open to any suggestions... if anyone there is a cook, tell me what you might like!
Thanks! |
| Fresh Poster | on 06:25PM at Oct 19th, 2008 I just ordered my parents a great cooking-themed anniversary gift today! You can make a custom cookbook on tastebooks.com It's great! You can either add your own recipes or choose from thousands that they pull from top recipe sites on the web. The book comes with pictures / organization tabs and the ability to order extra pages to add in whenver you want. Prices start at $19.95 for a 25 recipe book. Let me know what you think |

| Fresh Poster | on 07:43PM at Sep 25th, 2009 Hi! Since your mom already likes to cook she probably already has the basics. I think a beautiful serving platter is wonderful. You can find those at specialty cooking stores, furniture stores, department stores, etc. Go high end.
Or how about her own chef's jacket? Look for Egyptian cotton, nice. There's many colours available too. They look sharp and she might enjoy that. I would contact some local restaurants and see if someone can point you in the right direction as to where to buy them in your area.
Mastering the Art of French Cooking by Julia Child. Anyone who loves to cook would appreciate this book :)
Have fun shopping! I'd be curious to know what you finally decide to get. | |
