    Just went on a ride,

although a very short one, only 7 miles. It's about 17 degrees with a 6 degree windchill. Talk about freezing my butt off!

    Wow, Dedicated I Guess.

We have had a busy spell with Christmas preparations and such, so the peddles in the truck have been getting more exercise than the ones on the bike. But today it's kinda warm, above freezing, with a medium rain this morning. Leaves are off the trees and the grasses have dried...

First Day On A New Bike

My husband chose this really awesome trail for me to break-in my new bike. I should've known I'd get hurt. You see, my husband is really intelligent, (seriously smart), but in our relationship I'll always consider him the muscle. He's always overestimating how strong I am and...

    It's Been So Long!

It's been years since I've gone mountain bike riding, but I used to go every weekend with my parents.  We would ride the 3,6,and 10 mile trails at our local state park. I hated getting ready to go, but I loved the ride. I miss going... I always felt good and "clean" after...

I'm looking to invest in a bike.

Rocky Mountain or Santa Cruz? I would like a bike that has shocks that can lock, so I can use it on road as well. Any suggestions? Reasons please. Here's my current bike.

Its my escape from the world!

I am never happier then when Im pedaling. I want to ride forever even when the body is so exhausted. I can't think of a better feeling and joy that I get from riding any trail. Even on my road bike when our trails are still muddy. Take every excuse to be on a bike!

    Blissful Freedom...

Whether I'm riding alone, or with friends, few things match the freedom I feel when I get on my bike and get on the trail.Freedom to relax, to breathe in the visual beauty of where I live, to smell nature, to hear the silence.Freedom to push myself physically and mentally, yet...

    Fun For The Whole Family

It's fun getting out on the trails and sharing the fun with the kids. There's something wonderful sharing in the exhilaration of taking on and surviving the rough, challenging sections with the boys. It's much more real than sitting around. And maybe a lot muddier :)

    Busted Ribs

Living in Michigan, I have no mountains to ride my bike on, but that doesn't mean it only rides on the pavement. We have a great many nature areas where motor vehicles are prohibited. Many in marshlands, and woodland trails. Many old railroad beds have had the tracks removed...

Always Thinking About My Next Ride!

Fall is my favorite time of year. The air gets crisp and clear, the leaves begin to take on a life of their own, the landscape becomes a canvas of multi- color joy. I love the smell of bonfires in the air. But more than anything I love being in the woods on a crisp, cool, sunny...
