Currently reading The Longest Ride by Nicholas

Sparks...I love reading the book before I see a movie based on it. Please no spoilers! My favorite chapters are with the character Ira. Looking forward to how the story unfolds even if certain parts are predictable.

I bought an old book (1916-1918) from a used

book store yesterday. It's titled "Caesar's Gallic War" and is written in Latin with the English translation under each line.

I just have to say that I hate Romeo

and Juliet. I think Romeo and Juliet were idiotic teenagers guided by hormones into a world of obsession and eventual suicide. It's not a love story, you know? It's a story of extreme infatuation with a side of family dysfunction. I wouldn't hate it if most of society saw it for...

Crossing of the Lusitania. It was very good. I would also endorse Larson's Devil in the White City, if you've never read it.

    The Asimov Story

OK, folks, you asked for it, so now I'll share it. The year was 1983.  My best friend at the time, Haig, was a huge Trekkie. This was just after the Star Trek movie "The Wrath of Khan" had come out, and there was a Trek convention (actually, I ...

Oh my gosh, I heard that there's a library in

Dublin that aims to have a copy of every single book in the world and that made Ireland my official first place to visit when I go to Europe. Lol, I'm sure there are others that already knew this, but I just learned this and it's so exciting! Can't wait to see it
