As a librarian, it would be weird

if I didn't. I have always loved to read, and my love and passion has directed me in my life. I had an interest in Literature and English growing up, but it wasn't until high school where one of my Literature teachers would bring me new books to read, exposing me to new books...

Do you ever finally get the book you were

waiting for then not want to start reading it because you don't want to reach the end???? Anticipation at its worst.

Does anyone else have a hard time quitting a

book that is dragging on. I do. I keep thinking maybe it will get better. I'm reading one now that just got to a weird long boring monologue. And I'm thinking, trudge on or quit?

because I "waste money on books"..I'd rather have a hard copy book that's really there that use a Kindle or something. I love my book shelf, it's like my trophy case. Reading makes me so happy and such a different person. It allows me to think about someone else's problems than...

Last weekend, I finished a book called "The

Dogs of War" by Frederick Forsyth. It's about a rich man who hires a mercenary to overthrow a fictional African country so he can gain access to a rich supply of platinum. This book is HUGELY detailed, and supposedly, it has been used as a manual for carrying out coups d'Ă©tat...

I just have to say that I hate Romeo

and Juliet. I think Romeo and Juliet were idiotic teenagers guided by hormones into a world of obsession and eventual suicide. It's not a love story, you know? It's a story of extreme infatuation with a side of family dysfunction. I wouldn't hate it if most of society saw it for...

    Hello fellow bookworms.

I suppose I should talk about why I like reading or what I read. I mostly read fiction. Like The Magicians Nephew by C.S. Lewis, The Hatchet, The Anthem, The House on Mango Street, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, City of Bones the Mortal Instruments, and StarGirl. I love...

I Love The Smell Of Books!

There is nothing like the smell of books, both new and old. I swear every time I am reading a book, I hold my nose close to the pages and inhale. I find the smell comforting and reminds me of my happy reading days. I also like the feel of the paper. I always run my fingers over...

I never planned on reading it, but I had a male friend tell me it was a decent read and a cute story. Half way through the first book I have to agree so far it's cute and not really what I expected. For right now it's something to read and at least I'll know what the other...

I love the YA dystopian novels.

One lesser known but really great one is the Iron Butterfly series by Chanda Hahn. You have to overlook the editing as there are many mistakes but its a great story if you like the genre.

When I was younger, I was quite the reader.

My favorite series was Shivers. I read all of the books in the series. It was a lot like Goosebumps. Every time I went to town with my mother, she bought me a new one. I could finish one in two or three nights. Reading is a hobby that is still with me. I now read mostly...
