    It's Coming Back!

More and more albums are being released on vinyl these days, and I am thrilled. Admittedly I'd be more thrilled if they were a wee bit cheaper, but hey, it's a start, right? I'm also addicted to the equipment. Consoles are my favourite, with the exception on my Sansui...

New to Vinyl and Loving It!

I recently picked up a used Rega turntable, and music has moved from something in the background to something I actively do.  The sound is better than cd, and I'm a sucker for ritual.

    Spin Spin Sugar

when im tidying my house i like to play some of my old vinyls. Then i will sing hard and dance a little so i feel alive and know my blood is pumping. When i finish tidying it all goes quiet again. My neighbour laughs she said she was surprised the first time she heard me, but...

Within the past two or three years I started to look on the Internet some old 45 RPM vinyls made by a relative of mine who during his 35 year career had made over 109 singles and six albums. Recording with companies like Decca, Columbia, Mercury , Chess, date and Coral records...

    Vinyl Records

I love to listen to my vinyl. I enjoy shopping in used record stores for albums I don't have.  By now I probably have several thousand albums.  The analog vinyl recors seem to have so much more character than the digital CD's.The vinyl titles seem much brighter and have better...

    Rock On, Gold Dust Woman

My life has been chronicled through music. For every period in my life, I was listening to particular genre of music. I would shift back and forth between genres. The most profound periods of my life were spent listening to Classic Rock, Alternative 80's (Joy Division, The Cure...

    Best Sound

Once I was able to afford a high end stereo I wasn't quite happy with the sound of the re-mastered cd's.  I was talked into getting a turntable and got hooked.  The sound from the album had real depth and it was clear to me that this was the sound I was missing...

    1987 To Present

Crappy photo taken with my old cell phone. I got my first record player in 1987.  I was four years old, and it was a little plastic portable toy of a record player, but it played 33s and 45s.  Later that year, I got a hand-me-down stereo system when my parents bought a new...

    I Love Lp's!

I know vinyls aren't used much anymore but I love them, the crackle, the art, they have so much more charactor the CD's and especially MP3 format. My fave is an interview with Jimmy Page. It is a picture record. A different pic of Jimmy on each side. It is a bit hard to listen...

    This Is Fun

I still have a turntable set up and like to get out the old vinyl record and give them a spin. The crackles and pops you normally hear are all part of the enjoyment.

    A Lifelong Dream

It has been said at one point or another “anything is possible”. It has also been said that “your dreams are what you make of it”. A line from a famous song declared that “if your heart is in your dream, no request is too extreme”. Where am I going with those? Just...
