My town may be on national news.

Wow. We are such a tiny place in SC and are having protestors blocking interstate I-85 in favor of the rebel flag. I'm kind of surprised, but kind of ashamed. Alas. I'm in too good of a mood to care. :)

so small it freakin' hurts sometimes.

....yet big enough that without a car you're screwed depending on where you live. lol. and I work in one of the few 24 hour spots there is. sooooo many people that I want to strangle when they come walking in between 12-4am. I want to ask them why they aren't in bed or something...

    From Sanctuary To Cell...

I moved to a small town to escape the crime and drama of big city life. My town has 2600 people residing in it. We have a gas station, grocery store and various downtown shops. It's quaint and cute and cost of living (other than the grocery store) is low. When I was working a...

    I Do Now

I recently moved from the farther L.A. suburbs to a small, middle of nowhere town in North Dakota. I've been here for four days already. I thought I'd have a much harder time adapting to the small town life after having lived in the city my entire life, but so far I've been...

The school I go to is bigger

than the Main Street in the town I live in. There's not much else to say. It's a one-store two-restaurant kind of town.

And I want out! Do you live in a small town

as well? Are you sick and tired of it and do you want out? Well, I'm here to tell you that you are not alone! I live in a town of less than 2,000 people in the middle of nowhere in Central Nova Scotia. There is gossip, run down buildings, kids who dress up all ghetto an think...

I live in a small rural town,

most people who live here were born here. I’ve spent my holidays there all my life and moved here 6 years ago after living abroad for 8 years. I spent a lot of my life moving around but this was the one place I always came back to, it was the only constant in my life. When...

I am not kidding. The town I live in is straight out of the Andy Griffith show. It's mostly dirt roads, one gas station and store and the nearest "city" is a half hour away. This so called "city" consists of a McDonald's, Walmart and a random hardware store or two. Then there are...

More like a hamlet population is 90.

In Alberta Canada, the closest mall and movie theater are half an hour away. jobs are scarce but I wouldn't trade the peace and quiet for anything.

I moved away from the big city.

I live close to some wonderful beaches and not far from a small town. I love the tranquility of being out of reach of most people. I have a small rainforest acreage and feel so incredibly connected to the natural world here.I love it and don't miss the frantic city life at all...

People say it's terrible living in a small town

but honestly it's pretty fun! It's easy to find your way around without having to drive miles and miles out for a hardware store, there are a lot of fun community activities and basically it's pretty good to know everyone! I'm on the east coast and the best part about it is...

but at least we had a Wal-Mart and grocery stores. Now the town I live in only has two convenient stores that's for everything. Sometimes you think you live in a small town until you move to a smaller one.

Before I lived in the capital.

My life there was ok but my son didnĀ“t feel well at all there. It was normal that the ambulance had to rush at least 3 times each month to his school because the pupils and the kids were so brutal there. My son also was twice in hospital because of the brutality in his school...

I love living in small towns.

My home town was a little bigger with about 5,000 people but the town I live in now has less than 500. It's so nice to know everyone and to always be able to interact when you want to and be alone when you want to. Also small towns are better for good traditional values and...

    Poor access to services.

We don't have a department store but I would guess that we have about 6 bars. Hear about the movement to raise the minimum wage to $15/h ? The only way you make anywhere near that here is to work in the toughest factory here where they make you work 7 days a week and its 90...

Living in a small town is okay.

I can't decide if I like that fact that everyone in my town knows each other somehow or not. Mainly in my school, I don't think anyone really hates anyone. I think we're all friends and we're too comfortable with each other. I still have classmates I've known since pre-school. I...
