I Live In An Apartment

Personal Stories, Advice, and Support 264 People

My (always noisy) neighbors upstairs decided to

get completely wasted tonight. Lots of running and yelling.... Also lots of falling. So far it's 2:00 AM and been going on since 10:00. I would say something to them but, ya know, drunk people don't tend to respond well to criticism. Maybe I should just record them being loud...

    Not a Big Building

I live in a old house of stone, renewed and separated in several apartments. So it's not a "jail building". I feel ok there, but i'd like to move. I don't know if I will, that depends on, well, how life is going to sway.

So far I have lived in a three story apartment and love it! I used to live in a older house where you listened to the other neighbors music but here in a apartment it's a lot better. You get to meet people, If something happens mantience is there so overall It's great! Inbloom

I Don't Now Why Anyone Would Think This Is Special

If you're under 30 it's simply the only option you have. It's not like a bank would give me a mortgage for a house, I don't even have a living parent to co-sign, not that Dad would have when he was alive, he wouldn't co-sign on anything with me

    Insanity

I live in a small complex of 'cookie-cutter' apartments. I don't mind my closet-sized apartment much except when my neighbors breathe. I can hear them ****, walk, shower, vaccum, and saw pipes at seven in the morning. Also, when i'm up late I can hear people running through the...

    Take a Look

Today I get to wonder if my apartment is one which will be used by my complex for assessment.  The tax assessor is supposed to inspect apartment complexes in order to determine the next year's rate for the management. I had someone look in once. At least I was home...

And I hate it too, we use to have several men

below us that would bang on the walls a few days or sometimes every night. Other days they would slam the door so hard that it shook our apartment. I couldn't stand them, but every time I saw them I would say to them "hello" aka F you greeting. When they finally left, I was...

every day. Note #1 toddlers nape time and all the things all neighbors should not do during this time! #2 we should all decide on a central time to vacuum so that we don't have to hear each other vacuuming. I had a good suggestion for that one, but still waiting on that response...

    Good Enough For Me

Sometimes I wish I owned my own home so I could own land to grow a garden on and build a treehouse on, but then I think about how that's really more of a "want" than a "need", and I remind myself that an apartment is just fine for me for now.
