got it in my head to move to AZ for family but only stayed for 9 months. Back in CA but it's gotten even more expensive.

Born and raised, and I love it here.

Sure we have our problems, there's an ongoing clash between the wealthy and the working class because the wealthy buy more and more property driving property costs up. And there's always the traffic (which isn't as bad as New York or LA, but is still pretty bad). But there's so...

    New Here

Only been in the bay area for about a month. The weather is nice here and I kinda enjoy getting away from the woods and mountains breifly. Is not a bad place albeit a bit expensive since I am staying on the peninsula. But so far so good.

    Home Sweet Home

I grew up in the South Bay. Moved to San Diego for college....then to Sacramento....then up the coast to Washington State. But the only place that felt like home was the Bay Area. So, I had to move back. You can't beat the incredible weather, endless activities, fantastic beaches...

10+ Years and I Seem to Be Lost....vema

So, I have spent the last 10+ years traveling across the country, finding myself more and more disconnected from my travel partner.  When we started out, in the Mid-Atlantic coastal area, we were both certain of the fact that we hated what was happening around us...

I love the bay area. Although it has gotten way

more crowded, there are always places to gothat are remote. The diversity here is outstanding. We are 4 hrs from anything you might want to do, if it cannot be done in the bay area.

How Do You Find New Friends Around Here?

I know I should know this by now, as I've been in the Bay since 2007, but since I've been working and studying so much it hasn't been a priority until now. Anyone know of some great affordable hangout spots for creative types?
