films. I think they are better now than they were in the 1980s: it was before digital film, so time has degraded the film/audio quality. It gives the music a displaced and (in drama and horror especially) a slightly sinister feel, over and above the music itself.
I missed 'em. Damn. But at least the music is still around. And honestly? The best music happened in the '80s.
