The good thing about history is it leaves

abandoned ruins just about everywhere! I loved roaming the Cathar trail in Languedoc when I went with a now ex boyfriend just over a year ago. Well it was during the summer of 2013. You get a sense of history, yes, but also of struggle and making do. It shows a great aspect of...

    Abondoned House W.Australia

I found this house a while back, in the western Australian rural areas maybe 6hours from 'civilisation' as they say, it was as if the person died and the place was forgotten and left as a time capsule. I came across a house left as is, in tact, furniture and all. It looked like...

I grew up in the old family homestead

and left there when I was about 22. An old Aunt and cousin were staying there and the house deteriorated in a few short years where we had to have it demolished. Squatters and vandals had broken over the two years it was abandoned and on my visits to my house I was taken aback...

I have a weird obsession with abandon places.

I'm always on google looking up new places I haven't read about or known. I want to travel and look at so many. I'm thinking about saving up money to go out and look at some of them, take pictures, you know the usual. I love the ones who have a background story to why they are...

I feel that abandoned places allow someone to

go back in time. Maybe see how ppl lived 30 or so years ago. My favorite abandoned places are then ones that it seems people just never came home one day. I love finding old things that people use to use in their daily life.
