    Amazing Movie

I can't watch it without crying!  She is so much like me, in some ways; I used to think I "was" Amelie.

    Oh, France

Have you ever been to Montmartre? It is my favorite place in the entire world, accentuated only by my viewing of the movie after my visit. I want to live there someday. Not anytime soon, but someday I will call it home.

Mysterious, Original and Just Cute Amelie

When I first watched this movie I was shocked. I was shocked by its.. producing and production. Everything looks just perfect. And of course a great work of Audrey Tautou. I opened her for myself from this movie. Ive already watched for about 10 movies where she took part and I...

    The Soundtrack

Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain is a great movie, but I think that the music composed by Yann Tiersen is even greater. When I listen to the soundtrack (which I am right now) I feel happier, and want to dance and have fun. Oh, it's wonderful....

Everything About It Makes Me Happier

It is one of my ultimate feel good movies.  Everything from the music to the colors just cheers me up when im depressed and grouchy. It's one of those movies that makes you think that maybe fate is on your side.

    Celebrated For A Reason!

There are no intelligent words i can come up with off of the top of my head to describe how i feel about Amelie. The over-all French-ness of this film isn't overwhelming, and yes some people have complained that is a terrible portrayal of small-village French life but who cares...

    Amelie turned my life around.

I saw it during my freshman year in college. Before it, I was only exposed to Hollywood movies, and had a very limited notion of cinematic possibilities. Needless to say, the cinematography and musical score baffled and amused me to no end. It was as if I was freed from...

    The Nicest Compliment :-)

I rented  "Amelie"  recently and I was telling my kid about the story of the movie, and what Amelie does for her friends and father and what a sweet person she is and she said : "Oh, Mommy, you are just like Amelie, minus the bangs" !!!

Amelie Poulaine De Montmartre Lives In My Heart

Amelie is a film that I've seen atleast 7 times since it's original debut. I love all French films since I studied French, but I also identify with the Amelie character. I'm just as crazily creative as she is, and just as shy. She takes pleasures in the simplicity of life...

Warmed the Cockles of My Heart

I bet you didn't know you had cockles in your heart. Well, you do. "Amelie" warmed mine right up. The film is whimsical, imaginative, funny, poignant, and altogether charming. It's one of the handful of movies that never fail to rescue me from a bad mood.

    Beautiful

It's hard to put into words my feelings about this film. One word stands out though, beautiful, absolutely beautiful. The vibrant colours, the heart-warming story lines, that unforgettable face. Also, given the nature of Amelie's character and how she relates to other people I...
