I miss walking barefoot in the woods barefoot

under the canopy of the rainforest. The smell of the moist undergrowth and fresh air. Insects and bugs and creatures going about their business. So peaceful and quiet I can hear the birds sing and the leaves whistle. And the rivers and streams in the running by. Dip my feet into...

    I love cats and dogs

and believe they are both equally good friends, I was talking to someone who favours dogs more and says cats are selfish, I have always had a cats as pets and I know that cats like to come to you rather than you going to them, but I have always found them a comfort if you are...

Another Baby to love and nurture

My son, the one going away tomorrow, brought me a present this morning. A little baby it still has a dry piece of cord attached, so is only days old. The baby was running along the roadside screaming its head off. He is a Game Ranger, so knows that it was either scared out of...

I wonder if when we're talking baby talk to cats

if we're actually speaking in their cat language. Like, right before a cat just freaks out and starts tearing **** up, maybe it's because someone was baby talking to them, and imitating their meow, and they accidentally, unwittingly said, 'yo cat, yo mama so fat she split into...

    Caretakers

We humans were put here on Earth to be the caretakers of Nature and animals and all that live and breathe. I feel all in all, that we humans have done a great harm to our land and animals. We... most humans,  don't give it a second thought ... about what is best for...

    Animals seem to know better

than us how to live a happy life. They live in the moment. Not worrying or stressing about life, how the bills will get paid, whether they're good enough or not. They just are who they are and behave how they feel in the moment. We can learn a lot from animals. But it's hard...

just remembered when my cat was a young kitty,

he jumped out infront of two dobarmins with his back hunched at them and hissing. Good job that the dogs were on leads, or they would have attacked my kitty.

He's making himself right at home.

I trained him "go to your spot" today. I spent maybe an hour on it, every once in a while getting him to go to his spot while he was doing his own thing. He's pretty smart. It really is amazing how fast pigs learn.

but today when I was at my house and my house is by the center of my small town I saw a dear in my neighbors yard and I carefully walked up to it and it sniffed my hand. I also love to to help out at the local animal shelter.

I think life's journey is like how birds fly.

They flap and flap their wings using lots of energy to go then they coast , much like humans we work hard then we coast and eventually coast until we hit ground or bottom or we realize we're about to hit the ground and we start working or flapping again. I think for me atleast...
