    I have a rare 1964 Plymouth Valiant V200 4 door

sedan with the original Slant Six Cylinder engine. It still runs nicely. I myself can't drive it till antique plates & registration are changed, so my dad drives it occasionally with me upfront.

I love all the history involved in antiques

and old photographs. I also love how they can tell a story. All these new things bug me and I hate it. I actually have this little dream of getting an old camera (the one that takes photos you have to shake if that’s even around anymore). I have a dream of having a simple...

    Quality of Work

In Antiques you see work that people don't do anymore. Carved chairs instead of pieces put together, woven fabrics instead of synthetic, etc.. My favorite item that I'm still looking for as the perfect piece is an antique phone, the one with the curved handle and button in the...

Love The Thrill Of The Hunt

I could safely say that at least 1/3 of my

    Hankie Pankie

Among the many things I seem to collect are antique hankies.  I collect various types, but the ones I am most drawn to are the lovely hankies that women have added their own adornment to.  It seems such a shame to let those go unspoken for.  I always carry one in...

    I have developed an enthusiasm

for antiques from watching The Antiques Roadshow. People's personal connection with the item is wonderful to hear, whether it was passed down many generations in the family, or whether they found it in a skip bin! It's a wonderful way to learn about history.
