I Love Art History

    I'm Truly Passionate About Art!

I've always been into it, but my serious interest started some 4 years ago when I was 13. I visited a local gallery of contemporary art and it was a total enlightenment for me. It was the first time I had seen a bigger show of 21st century artists (it featured mainly videos...

    Yay

I took art history in the 11th grade (Advanced Placement- passed the test and got a college credit) at my high school and I'm really glad I did. It was an awesome class, I Loved it, and it opened my eyes to the wonder of art history. Ever since I've been a big...

    60's Art

I think the art history in the 60’s is quite interesting - like Andy Warhol. I also think there was a lot of art on the 60’s and 70’s record jackets as well as some of the fashion. Cheers!

    Passion Vs. Reality

I'm an art history major and absolutely love it. The only problem, especially with men at my school, is that they do not see it as a serious major. One person even joked, "you are going to graduate with the word 'art' on your diploma!" Even though it's something I love, I'm not...

    Art and History

Maybe it would be more accurate to say that I am fascinated with history's influence over art and art's impact on thought throughout history. Art history is OK, but when it is contextualized in religion, politics and philosophy it suddenly becomes a much more valuable than the...

    Sisyphus

I love art and I love history. To love art in itself is enough to develop an almost automatic interest in art history because artists as a rule are interested in it.  Their vocabulary generally is composed by preceding generations.  They only add the pinch of salt...
