    Missing Ballroom

I started Ballroom dancing 10 years ago.  Competed in Pro/Am in both Latin and Smooth, then met my husband and moved to a small town in Ontario where there is NO dancing!!!!!!!!  Miss it sooooo much.

    Dance With Me

It took everything I had to walk into the ballroom dance studio that first time, totally alone. Once I did, I found out how quickly I could fall in love. From the very first step of Foxtrot, I knew I had fallen very deeply in love. I'd just discovered ballroom dancing when I was...

    Love It!

I just love ballroom dancing. All of it: the the music, dresses and of course the dance itself. I know the basic dances somewhat well, but I could always be better.

Ballroom As The Air I Breathe

I remember in high school, I was able to take my first "dance" lesson which included the mandatory square and line dances because of the school policy to have "social interaction" integrated into our P.E. classes. Nevertheless, I was happy enough to hold a girl's hand, me being...

Do Not Look For Your Soul-mate Here

I got into ballroom dance shortly after I was divorced. Originally, my goal was to expand my skill set as an actor. I stayed there because of the social world it opened for me, and because I was drawn to its elegance. But I learned within my first year of dancing that it is...

The Key To My Cage Of Shyness.

A year ago I was the most timid girl you could ever hope to meet. (That is, if you would really want to meet a timid girl.) Just a year ago, I was insecure, and afraid to get out of my comfort zone. One year ago, I was a different person. Thankfully, my best friend literally...

I did it in high school for 2 years...I loved it!  My favorite was cha cha or lindy.  Not a fan of foxtrot or two step.... but I miss it anyway.  I was always one of the tallest girls so I felt really awkward wearing my high-heeled latin shoes, which made me at...

I admire two women ballroom dancing together.

I love to see it but I don't believe it's gay. Like I enjoy women who both love to dance together. To see eachother lead the other is interesting.
