for trees. Northern California is covered in giant redwoods. Old, towering creatures with trunks as massive as buildings. And beautiful white birches. And oak trees everywhere. The cherry blossoms have just finished shedding. And the magnolias are budding.
They look so magnificent, stately in summer, covered with leaves.
But I like them best in the winter. That's when they're most interesting. The way the gnarled, twisted branches interweave as they stretch to the sky. I love to look at them.
and old EVEN BETTER! they make me happy. makes me wonder and i start thinking about all they have lived through, what animals lived in them, did people have a picnic under them. were they planted or naturally grow?? endless things run through my mind. lol i just want to hug em...
